I look forward to reading your book; I was with the 1st Infantry Division (MECH) form 2001 to 2005 and also served in Iraq in 2004 to 2005; I served with 2-2 Infantry during my time there; I new your Battalion CSM; It was a great lost to lose him during the battle; Thank you for keeping this part of history from going unnoticed; Victory!

I am an old Vietnam vet who was in the thick of it for 2 tours; Not sure I could have kept up with those guys, nor would have wanted to; Book was riveting as well as revealing; A few flashbacks, but I got through it okay, until the last few paragraphs which finally got to me; Felt good though;

I was in the 82nd engineers and served in it with some of the guys from 2-2 and have been searching for this book for some time; I just returned from Iraq for the second time and heard about it from a buddy I deployed with the first time; It was well worth the wait; Thanks for telling your story; i feel privileged to have served in the iron brigade with you;
